Two solicitors at SAS Daniels, the Greater Manchester and Cheshire law firm, have taken on regional roles with LegalRunner, a network that brings legal professionals together through running.
Holly Skelton, an associate solicitor in the firm’s family law team in Chester, is LegalRunner’s new regional contact for Chester. Matthew Ottley, a solicitor in the employment team, has taken on the role for Macclesfield.
LegalRunner was founded by Mark Evans, President of the Law Society of England and Wales, and promotes the physical and mental health benefits of exercise and social connection. It works in partnership with LawCare to support mental health and wellbeing across the legal sector.
Skelton returned to Chester in March 2026 and previously served on the committee of the Cheshire and North Wales Junior Lawyers Division for around eight years. Ottley rediscovered running in 2023 and joined Congleton Harriers. He completed the Athens Marathon in November 2024 and ran the London Marathon in 2026 in support of LawCare.
“The legal profession can be demanding, so having a reason to get outside, take a break and talk to others who understand the pressures of the job is hugely valuable,” Skelton said.
Justine Clowes, managing partner at SAS Daniels, said: “We wish them every success in developing LegalRunner’s networks in Chester and Macclesfield.”
SAS Daniels has offices in Stockport, Chester, Macclesfield and Congleton, with a team of 120 and 22 partners. The firm says it is recruiting solicitors with corporate, private client or commercial property backgrounds, as well as experienced residential conveyancers and assistants.
