Manchester-headquartered building consultancy Landwood Group is providing construction quality monitoring on the £10m Bosden Building at Stopford Park in Stockport. The six-storey residential block will provide 62 homes and is expected to complete in November.
Landwood’s building consultancy team began monthly inspections in October 2025, when internal fit-out started. Since then the external envelope has been completed, the apartments have moved through finishing works, and hard and soft landscaping has been laid around the building.
The inspections cover construction progress, workmanship, compliance and site conditions, as well as welfare provision, cleanliness and health and safety. Each visit is recorded with photographs, and issues and remedial works are tracked through later inspections.
“Almost a year of monthly inspections later, it is great to see the building approaching completion,” said Darren Kibble, director of building consultancy at Landwood Group.
The Bosden Building is part of the wider Stopford Park scheme on the former Stockport College campus, which includes 442 homes alongside commercial and community space, landscaping and the restoration of the Grade II-listed former Arts College.
Landwood Group was established in 2008 and works as chartered surveyors, asset managers and auctioneers across the UK.
